Paperwork

PAPERWORK is a collaborative exhibition by Sophie Klerk and Katherine Claypole. PAPERWORK evolved from weekly studio sessions held by the two artists over the last few months involving discussion of ideas and experimentation with different processes and media. The work shown is a meeting point, a contexture, a merger of both artists' individual styles that have now become interwoven.

Sophie Klerk graduated from Art Centre College of Design, Switzerland, in 1992 with a degree in Graphic design. She moved to New Zealand in 2007 with her partner Julian Priest with whom she established The Green Bench project room and gallery in Whanganui.

Katherine Claypole graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Design from Unitec School of Architecture and Design and a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts , Christchurch. She presently lives in Whanganui and is a lecturer in drawing at Ucol.
